CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is an opportunity to participate in Mass in a way that is more understandable for the young child.

It runs from September through May.

The Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place during the 10:30a Sunday Mass. Children from age 4 to 4th grade are invited to participate. They are called to the front of the church by the celebrant just before the first reading. After a blessing they process with the children’s lector to the glass enclosed room at the back of church. There they listen to the readings in kid friendly language, discuss the scriptures, and pray together.  The children then return to their families during the offertory.

The C.L.O.W. program follows the school year, from September through May, with occasional breaks during Christmas and Easter liturgical seasons. Children can join at any time. There is no cost, and no registration is necessary.

Virtus trained volunteers needed!
