“Before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit'.” Acts 1:5
MASS TIMES | Saturday: 4:30p | Sunday: 10:30a | M-W-F: 8:15a
Despite living and working with Jesus for three years and seeing Him rise from the dead, it was only when the Apostles received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, that they were equipped with the courage to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth. The Sacrament of Confirmation equips us to do the same.
Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds. Confirmation Preparation for 7th grade to 11th Grade Students
The Diocese of Cleveland requires all parishes to provide a Sacrament preparation process separate from the Family Parish School of Religion Program and the Catholic School Program.
Families who are parishioners of Saint James Parish and Saint Clement Parish gather for parent meetings and intergenerational activities for the family to grow in their faith.
Confirmation preparation is a 2 year process open to students in 7th through 11th grade. Candidates attend Confirmation preparation classes in addition to Family Parish School of Religion classes or Catholic School.
Candidates meet regularly for instruction throughout the year.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated in February of Year 2.
