Sounds of St. James on Saturday, December 17!

Join us on Saturday, December 17, at 7:30 PM for our next Sounds of St. James Concert!

St. James Church will host a very special performance in the Sounds of St James Concert Series. That evening you will find yourself transported in scripture and song through the Nine Lessons (readings) which retell of God’s love and relationship with humanity.  Each Lesson will be enhanced through beautiful compositions of Lauridsen, Howels, Biebl, Elgar and the familiar warmth of traditional Christmas Carols.

This combination of word and music is majestic and celestial as we hear the story of the fall of humanity in the Garden of Eden through the promise of the Messiah and finally the joyous birth of Christ Jesus. Nine Musicians from Oberlin Conservatory of Music will be accompanied and directed by Adam Chlebek, Director of Music and creator of the Sounds of St. James series. This event is the perfect prelude to

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with Benediction will conclude the service.

The performance and service are free to attend but donations will be received to benefit the performers. Please join us for this opportunity to share in this remarkable experience!  Refreshments will follow and extend this festive evening.
